Vineyards and their good hands

At the first spring sunshine, our winegrowers started with various spring activities in our vineyards, such as repair of wire reinforcement in vineyards, bondage of sparrows and branches, slipping of missing vines, placement of plots on soil analysis and preparation for the beginning of vegetation, which this year was hurried. Some work began this year a little later because of the low temperatures that persisted until March. Good hands were also working through the winter, as they began with the cut of the vine at the end of November. By cutting older vines they concluded in early March, and younger vines cropped at the end of the month. Professionally performed cuts affect the good condition of the vines and their ability to withstand even in more difficult conditions and give the highest quality yield.

At the same time, winegrowers also prepared a field for planting new vines in early April. In our vineyards this year, they plan to plant 85000 new vines. So far, we had planted as many vines that each belonged to one Slovenian citizen. Now, in our vineyards, there will be a total of about 2,030,000 vines.
